Testimonials

Obrigada!"

Fascia is a thin layer of connective tissue that wraps around all the muscles, bones, neurovascular bundles and organs in our body, like a hammock. When this fascia network is healthy, it is flexible and elastic, allowing our movements to be smooth and pain-free.
However, due to factors such as poor posture, injuries, stress or a sedentary lifestyle, the fascia can become rigid and overly tense, resulting in pain and restricted movement.

The Systemic Myofascial Release technique aims to "release" these tensions and improve the health of the fascia. Through specialized touch, the therapist applies gentle and constant pressure to specific areas of the body, promoting relaxation of the fascia, improving circulation and the flow of body fluids, as well as body mobility.

Benefits of Systemic Myofascial Release:
- Pain relief: many of our physical discomforts such as back, neck, shoulder and leg pain can be related to excess tension in the fascia. Myofascial Release helps to effectively relieve these pains;

- Improved flexibility and mobility: in addition to pain and physical discomfort, excess tension in the fascia can also lead to limited movement. It is common for us to adapt to more limited and restricted movements in our daily lives, but sometimes this restriction can really affect our quality of life, such as in cases of stiff neck, difficulty squatting, among others. By releasing accumulated tension, Systemic Myofascial Release improves the flexibility and mobility of muscles and joints, facilitating freer, more fluid and natural movements.

- Stress and anxiety reduction: Considering that the body and mind form an integrated unit, it is easy to understand why many Myofascial Release clients report improved stress and anxiety levels: by relieving excess tension in the fascial system - which involves not only the musculoskeletal system, but also the viscera and nervous system - the result is a deep state of relaxation and well-being.

Who are Myofascial Release sessions recommended for:
Systemic Myofascial Release is recommended for anyone who feels muscle pain and/or movement limitations, and/or simply wants to improve their overall health and well-being.

Athletes, people who spend a lot of time in the same position (sitting or standing), and/or who are suffering from high levels of stress and anxiety benefit from this technique.

What is a Systemic Myofascial Release session like?

The session begins with a body assessment to identify areas of excess tension and restriction.

The therapist then applies gentle pressure and stretching techniques, always respecting your comfort level. This is a personalized approach, tailored to your specific needs.
By the end of the session, clients will feel significant relief from pain and tension. In cases of very intense pain and restriction, it may take up to 72 hours for complete relief of pain and recovery of movement.

If you feel that you need to take better care of your body, or are looking for a way to relax and relieve stress, consider trying this technique with a qualified therapist.

Session cost: €60 - 60 minutes
